Oslo Innovation Week

Eco Innovation and Energies BT2i activities are growing rapidly.

In this context, Oksana Shkiray, BT2i correspondent in Kyiv, Ukraine, has covered the Oslo Innovation Week (Oct. 17-21). We met there a dozen of start-ups looking for partners to accelerate their international development.

Jean-Félix Biosse Duplan, new appointment as Sr Advisor at BT2i

Marc-Henri MENARD is proud to announce that Jean Félix Biosse Duplan have just joined BT2i as Sr Advisor and Global Marketing, Brand Management and Communications Expert

Jean-Félix has over 35 years of experience, providing innovative marketing strategies, powerful brand management and communications to BtoC companies. He started his career within Villeroy & Boch as sales consultant and joined Advertising agencies for 10 years, working for FMGC, beauty, luxury and corporate companies. He joined Essilor International as Advertising Manager and initiated the globalisation and the construction of worldwide campaigns, promotion and event programs, public relations, corporate identity and lobbying.

As a Brand fan, he has included them as a capital asset, took the leadership of disruptive market research, invented Varilux® new brand content, product innovations and created 3 worldwide brands.

Appointed as VP Marketing in Singapore and then in the European BtoB subsidiary, Jean-Felix has developped a specific product and service know-how targetting independent retailers or key accounts.

Other and recent jobs within Essilor allowed him to lead a technological breakthrough project and a strategic business development in Asia.Board member of several French an European optical Professional Associations, Jean Felix is Vice-President of the French ADETEM.

With Marc-Henri MENARD, Jean-François will develop innovation consultancy activities in BtoC businesses and in Ideation & Innovation Watch, integrating International Mega trends ans new busness models from different regions in the World.

Pr Jean-Marie Dubois joins BT2i as Sr Advisor

BT2i is proud to annouce today that Pr Jean–Marie DUBOIS, from CNRS and former director of IJL (Institut Jean Lamour) joins BT2i as Sr Advisor. Jean-Marie will participate in different missions managed by BT2i Materials & Processes Dept.

Jean Marie DUBOIS’s research topics have revolved around metal physics and engineering of complex metallic materials. He is the author of more than 250 scientific articles in refereed journals, 14 international patents, and 7 books. After establishing structure models for metallic glasses and quasicrystals, Prof. Dubois became interested in applied properties of these materials: heat insulation, low adhesive properties and infrared light absorption, cold-welding and solid-solid adhesion in vacuum of Al-based complex intermetallics against steel. His general interest is on understanding the surface energy of those materials and their scaling properties in relation to their electronic structure and crystal lattice complexity.

Marc-Henri MENARD joins the french branch of Licensing Executive International Society (L.E.S France)

Marc-Henri MENARD has been active in the field of international technology transfers for 30 years. He began his career as Jr Consultant in a Private-Public Consultancy so called ADER Limousin Poitou-Charentes (Association for the Development of the Education and the Research), former ANVAR regional correspondent (French National National Agency for Innovation ), now BPI France. He has participated in the creation of the first ever Regional Innovation Workshop, 35 years before current Fablabs ! In 1979, with Louis Chalanset, he found Innovation 128, pioneering European Consultancy in Innovation Management, Technology watch and International Technology Transfers (licensing In and Out). He managed Innovation 128 up to 2015, and then found BT2i.

Who is leading innovation in 2015 ?

The Global Innovation Index has just released its new report about the innovation in the world in 2015. The GII “aims to capture the multi-dimensional facets of innovation and provide the tools that can assist in tailoring policies to promote long-term output growth, improved productivity, and job growth”.

Switzerland, UK and Sweden lead the innovation race in the world.
